So I upgraded my daughters 2012 11″ MacBook Air to a brand new 13″ MacBook Pro with Retina display and was going to put the Air on Ebay, but I’ve been looking for a small sufficiently powerful laptop for Kali 2. And something that looks decently cool too.

I figured I would try Kali 2 on the Air and see how it runs. Amazingly enough everything works after the install; wireless, touch pad, sound, everything works. I plugged in a USB wireless card and Kismet worked as well.

I think I’m going to stick with Kali on the Air and see how it goes for a while. So if you’re looking to run Kali on something that looks good and is small and light, give an older MacBook Air a try.

And by the way, I’m only running Kali on it and no OS X.
