The ZWO EAF (Electronic Automatic Focuser) was purchased back in December 2020 and it seems to do a pretty good job of taking care of the focusing duties during an imaging session.
Along with the EAF module, I’m using the EAF C8 adapter which seems to be working great with the RASA 8.
It has not been out a huge amount of time due to the various reason I posted about, but so far so good.
In the image below you can see it attached to the RASA 8. It is controlled via the ASIair Pro software and can be set to do things like re-focus every 30 minutes or so ensuring your imaging session stays in focus.
Update: I’ve ordered a second one of these for the Raptor 61 refractor telescope.
