I’m picking back up my IoT testing soon and will be using a couple of interesting devices I found on Amazon (if they don’t have it, you don’t need it) to facilitate that testing.

A portable 12.5″ monitor that runs at 4k and is powered from a USB port.

And a little micro computer from HP of all places that has a dual core i3-6100T, 16GB of memory and a 256GB SSD drive.

It also includes a license for Win 10 Pro.

Since it has Win 10 Pro on it, you can run Hyper-V and create virtual machines without having to pay for VMware.

In addition to virtual machines, you can also install Windows Subsystem for Linux to run Ubuntu and Kali Linux for testing.

Anyway, I’ll be providing updates on this soon.
