I’ve been wanting to go old school and back to a mechanical keyboard for a while now so I’m trying a mechanical gaming keyboard from HyperX. I’m testing it for gaming and also as an everyday keyboard to see if I will really like going back to this type of keyboard.

To complete the new setup, I also purchased a:

  • Razer Deathadder Elite gaming mouse

  • and the Razer Goliathus mouse pad

Both devices are wired which makes them much more responsive and not prone to interference like bluetooth keyboards and mice. Nothing annoys me more than a bluetooth mouse or keyboard suddenly freaking out because it’s picking up interference from the other 99 bluetooth devices running in the house.

The Razer mouse has high end optical sensors and can be profiled specifically for the Razer mouse pad.

The cables for both the keyboard and mouse are braided and I love braided cables.

I’ll add updates as I continue to use both devices and let you know how they perform.
