As more and more retail stores implement Chip and Pin, I think this is one area where security is actually failing the business, not from a pure security standpoint, but from a security/business balance that is needed in most cases to get security controls implemented in the first place.

The time it now takes to check out using this method is orders of magnitude longer with security benefits to the customer minimal at best.

Maybe this will encourage people to use other payment methods like Apple Pay.

I just know that every time I have to use Chip and Pin, I want to punch the credit card device.
