I mentioned in an earlier post that I intended to remain on the Ghost blogging platform…well, that lasted about a week I think. I love Ghost but I wanted something a bit more mature where I don’t need to tweak things as much so I’m back on WordPress.
The technology stack for the site is currently as follows:
- DigitalOcean hosted with 2GB memory, 2 cores and 40 GB SSD
- Ubuntu 14.04
- WordPress running on Nginx with full SSL
- Nginx’s Fast-CGI in-memory caching
- MaxCDN
Have a look at my buddy Daniel’s speed guide for WordPress on Nginx for great guidance on setting up an extremely fast site.
So after about 5 or 6 attempts I finally have a solid blogging infrastructure in place. Time to focus on some blogging now…
